School Children Complain Of “Obama Worship” During Lessons

Giant images of president projected onto classroom walls disturb kids, parents

School Children Complain Of Obama Worship During Lessons 280109Obamaworship Several disturbing stories have come to our attention over the past weeks and days that further highlight how sections of the American population have elevated Barack Obama to a dangerously inflated “messianic” status normally only associated with Royalty or totalitarian leaders.

What makes the following accounts so much more insidious, however, is that they all involve children.

Perhaps the most insidious is to be found on the Tree of Liberty forum where a concerned parent from Las Vegas reveals that his 1st grader son has complained of having to pledge allegiance every day at school to a huge projected image of the new president.

The post reads:

My son, who is in 1st grade, came home yesterday saying that he didn’t want to go back to school anymore. So I asked him why? He said that during the Pledge of Allegiance the teacher put up a large image of Obama next to the flag. I asked him if he was sure of this and I suggested to him that maybe the teacher just put up an 8×10 photo of the president. He said, “No, it is a large picture of Obama and when we are done Ms. **** turns off the image.” I also asked if they did this for Bush last year? He again said, “No.” This was my sons first day back to school since before Christmas, he was on a 5 week track break.

My wife volunteers a couple of days each week with helping out with my sons teacher doing various duties. She said that she would come in early this morning to see what was going on. She just got back and reported that this was true and then some. She said she waited out in the pod area and could see inside 3 of the 5 class rooms in this section of school. She said that when the kids stand each teacher flips on the classroom overhead and a full body image of Obama, with six U.S. flags behind him, comes up about 4 feet away from the flag that hangs on the wall. She said that the image has Obama staring straight at you with no facial expressions, just a serious look. I asked my wife if Obama had his hand over his heart? She said that she was so taken aback by this that she didn’t see it. What is worse is she said that all of the kids in each class faced Obama instead of the flag that hangs in the corner.

What the heck is going on?

Guys and gals, I need some advise on how to approach this. I can be somewhat hot headed so I need to plan accordingly with what to say to the principal when we go in to inquire about this. I am sure I will be brushed off so what is my next step? Obviously it will be the school district but then who? ACLU, Veteran groups, Christian groups? Who would be interested in this vile activity?

This is happening in the Clark County School District here in Las Vegas, Henderson area.

Anyone in their right mind will realize that Americans are not supposed to “pledge allegiance” or “service” to a president. The U.S. Constitution, that piece of paper that Obama clumsily swore to defend and protect, states quite clearly that elected representatives are supposed to act in “service” of the people’s best interests, not the other way around.

Imagine the outcry that would have ensued if it had been revealed that huge images of George W Bush were being projected onto the walls of schools every day during his presidency.

Indeed, a similar incident in 2006 did cause waves of consternation when video emerged of children at a so called “Jesus Camp” being asked to worship a life size cutout of Bush.

Seemingly, now that Obama is president this activity is not restricted to “wacky” religious gatherings and is becoming commonplace throughout schools in America.

Another concerned parent relates a similar story on our own PrisonPlanet forum:

I live in Toledo, Ohio & my 3 kids (16, 13 &10) had to watch the inauguration & ceremony in our Toledo Public Schools. My 13 year old daughter is supposed to write a letter to President Obama & my 10 year old is supposed to write 5 facts & 5 opinions on President Obama. what do i tell them so i dont get CSB called on me?

School Children Complain Of Obama Worship During Lessons 280109Obamaworship3 Given that he has been described as the “global leader”, it is quite apt that Obama worship is apparently not restricted to U.S. schools. Two weeks ago the Toronto Star reported on how Rowntree Public School now has its own “Obama curriculum” complete with a theme song that “blasts” out the following lyrics from speakers in the school every day:

“Building blocks of a new vow/ A million stops and a new route …”

Children are asked to complete “Obama video worksheets” while learning all about the president’s life, but apparently not what his policies are or even what party he represents.

As part of the curriculum the students were asked to write a letter to the president, which is also featured in the article (see opposite).

The final paragraph states “You are the best because you are the first African American president in the United States of America!” and the children end by promising that they will “always remember your slogan, ‘Yes we can!’”.

The “Obama curriculum” is clearly not an isolated phenomenon. We have also recently reported on how one teacher has suggested removing from school curriculums all classic novels that explore racial prejudice in society, purely because Obama is now president.

When added to the footage of glassy eyed children singing beautiful melodic songs about Obama (see below) and the now infamous footage of the Obama youth brigade children blindly reciting what their elders have told them to, these stories add up to a disturbing overall trend.

The youth brigades of Nazi Germany and the former Soviet Union are obviously an extreme form of this kind of blind indoctrination, however they were more like scout organizations, their doctrines were never openly instituted in schools!

Perhaps even more disturbing is that there is no significant authoritative pressure pushing this kind of activity in schools. Clearly the teachers instigating the activities in the incidents related above are doing so of their own will, the phenomenon is a cultural one.

The fervor with which Obama is being received by portions of the American public is reaching a frightening level. It has come to the point where the new president is literally being hailed as the anointed savior of humanity.

We have flocks of celebrities encouraging Americans to “pledge service” to Obama, a disturbing notion given the fact that Obama has promised to found a “national civilian security force” and institute forms of compulsory community service for all Americans.

It is one thing for naive adults to buy into such groupthink, but to also subject young children to this, a mentality akin to the desperate prole worship of Big Brother in George Orwell’s 1984, is profoundly foreboding for any so called free society.

This is extremely scary stuff folks and no I am not a republican. Know body in this World should be elevated to such a high status.

New Legislation Authorizes FEMA Camps In U.S.

New Legislation Authorizes FEMA Camps In U.S. 270109top

A new bill introduced in Congress authorizes the Department of Homeland Security to set up a network of FEMA camp facilities to be used to house U.S. citizens in the event of a national emergency.

The National Emergency Centers Act or HR 645 mandates the establishment of “national emergency centers” to be located on military installations for the purpose of to providing “temporary housing, medical, and humanitarian assistance to individuals and families dislocated due to an emergency or major disaster,” according to the bill.

The legislation also states that the camps will be used to “provide centralized locations to improve the coordination of preparedness, response, and recovery efforts of government, private, and not-for-profit entities and faith-based organizations”.

Ominously, the bill also states that the camps can be used to “meet other appropriate needs, as determined by the Secretary of Homeland Security,” an open ended mandate which many fear could mean the forced detention of American citizens in the event of widespread rioting after a national emergency or total economic collapse.

Many credible forecasters have predicted riots and rebellions in America that will dwarf those already witnessed in countries like Iceland and Greece.

With active duty military personnel already being stationed inside the U.S. under Northcom, partly for purposes of “crowd control,” fears that Americans could be incarcerated in detainment camps are all too real.

The bill mandates that six separate facilities be established in different Federal Emergency Management Agency Regions (FEMA) throughout the country.

The camps will double up as “command and control” centers that will also house a “24/7 operations watch center” as well as training facilities for Federal, State, and local first responders.

The bill also contains language that will authorize camps to be established within closed or already operating military bases around the country.

As we have previously highlighted, in early 2006 Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg, Brown and Root was awarded a $385 million dollar contract by Homeland Security to construct detention and processing facilities in the event of a national emergency.

The language of the preamble to the agreement veils the program with talk of temporary migrant holding centers, but it is made clear that the camps would also be used “as the development of a plan to react to a national emergency.”

As far back as 2002, FEMA sought bids from major real estate and engineering firms to construct giant internment facilities in the case of a chemical, biological or nuclear attack or a natural disaster.

A much discussed and circulated report, the Pentagon’s Civilian Inmate Labor Program, was more recently updated and the revision details a “template for developing agreements” between the Army and corrections facilities for the use of civilian inmate labor on Army installations.”

Alex Jones has attended numerous military urban warfare training drills across the US where role players were used to simulate arresting American citizens and taking them to internment camps.

Ron Paul: Stimulus Packages Will Turn Recession Into A Depression

Steve Watson

Tuesday, Jan 27th, 2009

Texas Congressman Ron Paul has warned that passing the latest proposed economic stimulus package would be akin to pouring kerosene on an already raging fire.

Paul, who is also a member of the House Financial Services Committee, warned that such measures will cause a recession to turn into a full scale depression possibly worse than that of the 1930s.

During a Television interview with CNN, Paul explained why he believes stimulus funding is such a destructive policy.

“It’s because the government is spending it. If the people were spending it it would be fine, but the government never does anything productive. They have to take money from productive individuals and spend it in non productive ways, so it’s just digging a bigger hole, getting us into bigger debt, and that is the problem.” Paul said.

“This stimulus package is going to cost each and every American $6700 of more debt, so how can that be beneficial? If debt was the answer we would of never had a problem.”

“We are doing exactly what we did in the 1930s, we are taking a recession and working very hard to try and turn it into a depression.” The Congressman added.

“What we’re worried about right now, well certainly I am, is that it’s worse than the 30’s because we’re on the verge of destroying the dollar. So if you think the financial crisis is bad, and the financial system isn’t working, wait ’til you find out when the Dollar doesn’t work.”

The Congressman told viewers that only by liquidating debt, allowing the market to operate freely and allowing prices to come down will the problem be corrected.

Paul also spoke to those who have blamed the free market for the downturn and have suggested that deregulation is a primary cause of the financial crisis.

“We never had a hands off approach, that’s the fallacy, and as long as we believe that we will never correct our problem. If you blame Capitalism and free markets and sound money for this then we can’t win the intellectual fight.” Paul urged.

“If you want to regulate, regulate Government agencies, regulate the Treasury, regulate the Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve has no oversight, they’re not even permitted to be audited by law, so that’s the kind of oversight we need. The Federal Reserve has committed trillions of dollars to individuals, corporations and banks, they don’t even have to tell us where it’s gone to.” he added.

The Congressman also appeared on MSNBC this morning to discuss the same issue.

One commentator suggested that Paul’s analysis was misguided because “The house is already on fire” and something must be done to put it out.

“You are correct, the house is on fire,” Paul fired back, “and you think you’re putting water on it, but I think you are pouring kerosene on it.” he added.

“We got into this mess by spending too much, borrowing too much and inflating too much. Government was too big and we had too many regulations. We had rejected the market economy for decades, we have rejected the notion of sound money for decades, and we got into a mess this way. So what is the proposal? Spend more money, borrow more money, print more money, regulate more, it makes no sense whatsoever.” Paul asserted.

The Congressman suggested that a more sound approach to the crisis would be to abolish income tax and business tax to get Americans spending, whilst simultaneously cutting overseas spending to cover revenue losses.

“But the problem is no one wants to cut the American Empire,” Paul explained.

“Even Obama’s administration wants to increase spending overseas and increase military spending. As long as you want to run the world empire at a trillion dollars a year, believe me you cannot solve this problem.” he added.

Strikes in Pakistan Underscore Obama’s Options

Published: January 23, 2009

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — Two missile attacks launched from remotely piloted American aircraft killed at least 15 people in western Pakistan on Friday. The strikes suggested that the use of drones to kill militants within Pakistan’s borders would continue under President Obama.

Remotely piloted Predator drones operated by the Central Intelligence Agency have carried out more than 30 missile attacks since last summer against members of Al Qaeda and other terrorism suspects deep in their redoubts on the Pakistani side of the border with Afghanistan.

But some of the attacks have also killed civilians, enraging Pakistanis and making it harder for the country’s shaky government to win support for its own military operations against Taliban guerrillas in the country’s lawless border region.

American officials in Washington said there were no immediate signs that the strikes on Friday had killed any senior Qaeda leaders. They said the attacks had dispelled for the moment any notion that Mr. Obama would rein in the Predator attacks.

Mr. Obama and his top national security aides are likely in the coming days to review other counterterrorism measures put in place by the Bush administration, American officials said.

These include orders President Bush secretly approved in July that for the first time allowed American Special Operations forces to carry out ground raids in Pakistan without the approval of the Pakistani government.

Friday’s missile attacks hit Waziristan, a remote and mountainous region controlled by the Taliban, in the semiautonomous Federally Administered Tribal Areas along the Afghan border.

The first struck a village known as Mir Ali in North Waziristan late in the afternoon. In a statement, Pakistani government officials said the attack destroyed the house of a man identified as Khalil Dawar and killed eight people. The statement said militants had surrounded the area and retrieved the bodies.

A senior Pakistani security official said four of those killed were Arabs. Pakistani intelligence officials often take the presence of foreign fighters as an indication of Qaeda involvement.

In the second attack, missiles struck a house near the village of Wana in South Waziristan, killing seven people, according to local accounts and Pakistani news reports. The reports said three of the dead were children.

American officials believe that the drone strikes have killed a number of suspected militants along the frontier since last year, including a senior Qaeda operative who was killed Jan. 1 and was suspected in the 1998 bombings of the United States Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania and the bombing of the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad four months ago.

But the civilian toll has angered Pakistanis. A senior Pakistani official estimated that the attacks might have killed as many as 100 civilians; it was not possible to verify the estimate.

American and Pakistani officials are known to share some intelligence about militants, but it is unclear whether Pakistani officials have in any way acquiesced to the drone strikes or helped provide intelligence for them while opposing them in public. Openly supporting the attacks would be untenable for a government perceived as being too close to the American government.

Ismail Khan contributed reporting from Peshawar, Pakistan, and Eric Schmitt from Washington.

Ski time...

Mandi and I spent Wednesday skiing with are friends Bruce and Tim. Bruce and Tim have constructed and designed the most amazing timber frame homes I have ever seen. They both are not just craftsmen but also artists. All the homes are on the property that belongs to the Cheat Mountain Club.

They took Mandi and I on a skiing tour of the homes which we followed up with an amazing four hour back country ski in the National Forest. The snow was amazing! It was between 14" to 24" in most places. The temps were hovering right around 10 degrees all day but all the sun and the strenuous activity made it seem almost tropical at times.

It was the longest ski Mandi and I have done this year. We were both completely whooped afterwards. My thighs were so sore yesterday I didn't even want to touch them.

Its up in the 50's here today in Elkins but according to the weather prognosticators we should be getting several more inches of snow next week. I hope it comes. XC skiing beats riding a bike in the melting slop any day.

Peace, JOEY.

James McMurtry telling it how it is...

This country wouldn't be in the shape its in if more people listened to music like this.

Music with a meaning and a message.

Silence is betrayal (MLK anti-war speech)

Yesterday was Martin Luther King Day.

Today is the inauguration of Barrack Obama.

Some people connect the two events.

Not so fast: Martin Luther King JR was anti war. Last time I checked Obama like McCain went to AIPAC(America's Pro Israel Lobby) on bended knee to get there blessing. Obamas silence on the ethnic cleansing going on in Gaza is deafining.

What is it...

Kitty Kat jungle gym?

A very intricate non-folding ladder?

It is an indoor non-electric clothes dryer!

Mandi and I hang all of our laundry out on the clothes line when we can. By doing so we noticed a subsequent drop in are electric bill, almost half. But during the winter months we have been forced to revert back to using the dryer. Not now. There is enough room on the "dryer" that I built to hang two large loads of laundry. And yes the cats do think it is a jungle gym.

Freedom is Slavery

I have read the book "1984" several times through out the years. First as a teenager and a few times as an adult. Every time I read it the truth that backs the fiction shines through brighter.

Mandi can't make it through the book and wanted to check out the movie just to see if it was any good. I also had never watched and figured it would probably be a piece of rubbish compared to the book. Its not. Its a very good movie. The director took some liberties but all in all it holds to true to the important message the book portrays.

As the nanny states progresses and big brother has more control over our lives it makes me wonder if George Orwell had a crystal ball.

Nanny State Regulations May Put Small Manufacturers of Children’s Goods Out of Business

Carolyn Harris
Infowars
January 12, 2009

In a time of devastating job losses and shrinking consumer spending, new retroactive rules and regulations concerning the manufacture and selling of goods for children 12 and under forces manufacturers and retailers to test items for lead and pthalates. Pthalates are the substance in plastic that makes it pliable and is used in many children’s toys, from pacifiers and teething rings to bath toys; it can leach out and cause endocrine system disruption in children because it is an estrogen-mimicking chemical. Lead, of course, is a recognized toxin that can cause damage to the brain, kidneys and blood just by simple absorption through the skin.

While no one wants children to be poisoned by lead and most scientists agree that pthalates are harmful, these regulations that go into effect on February 10, 2009, will have the consequence of shutting down small manufacturers and retailers.

Signed into law August 14, 2008, the Consumer Product Safety Act (HR 4040) (.pdf) requires independent testing of each item in the product at a cost of $100 and up for each component. The regulations exempt items that contain lead that the child cannot reach, electronics that cannot be manufactured without lead and items made of cotton or wood such as clothing and other items. Larger manufacturers will not be unduly burdened by the regulations because they won’t have to test each individual item, but can “batch test,” however, individuals who manufacture items for children will be put out of business since the scheme is cost-prohibitive.

One entrepreneur manufacturers cloth diapers and uses two different fabrics, Velcro and metal snaps. The new regulations would force her to pay $375 test each combination of components and would effectively force her to shut her business down. And she is not alone. Other entrepreneurs who manufacture everything from jewelry to hair items to clothing would have to pay for the testing and also would be facing bankruptcy.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a clarification to the new regulations that exempt retailers of second-hand items like Goodwill Industries. This will spare other smaller consignment shops and those Americans who are trying to make ends meet by selling on eBay and Craig’s List. As the economy crumbles around us, more and more people are turning to consignment and thrift stores to purchase necessary items from household goods to clothing for themselves and their children.

The US governmental agencies are notorious for allowing products that have not been proven safe to enter the market because they use the standard “proven to harm” instead of the European standard of “proven safe.” This of course has resulted in the manufacture, import and consequent recall of large amounts of items such as tainted toys from China, pharmaceuticals that kill or cause permanent damage to consumers.

This latest well meaning but wrong-headed stunt by the federal government is a classic example of not thinking things through. Congress loves to portray itself as if it cares about the American tax-payers, especially children, but routinely passes laws that harm those same. This law is no exception. This is the dysfunctional Nanny State in action: waiting until too many children have been poisoned by lead in cheap Chinese toys after NAFTA and CAFTA effectively shipped American jobs overseas, then enacting a broad new law that has calamitous consequences for those Americans who are trying to fill a void with quality hand-made products.

Pedal Power...

The pile of materials needed for a pedal powered grain mill: scrap lumber, POS old cruiser bike named Ashley, and of course a grain mill.

Joel doing some figuring.

The finished product sort of. The tiny little 6 inch pulley was replaced later with a larger 10 inch pulley. By making the swap to the bigger pulley the speed at which the grain mill pulley spun was almost doubled. With the addition of a bigger chainring on the bike the, 44t to 52t, the grinding efficiency will be phenomenal. We hope.

Joel doing some grinding and working up a sweat.

In operation.
Flour anyone?

This project has been in the works for sometime. I have slowly been collecting bicycle related materials for it for about a year. I have had the bike, a Huffy Corvair, for quite sometime. I was going to restore it back to its original grandeur but that never happened. The chain we used was a donation from my neighbors garage door opener. The cog is a fixed cog that was originally designed to be used on the straight rear axle of an adult tricycle. Joel supplied all the lumber, the pulleys and belts, the grain mill, and the most important part the brain power. The pulleys and belts were all purchased locally from a varity of hardware stores. We did quite a bit of shopping, swapping and returning of said pulleys and belts trying to find the most effiecent combination. We ended up settling on a ten inch drive pulley paired with the sixteen inch grain mill pulley. The bike is sporting a 44t chainring, soon to replaced with a 52t, and a 24t cog.

All and all everything turned out pretty well for our first pedal powered appliance contraption. It still needs some fine tuning, some cartridge bearing and such, but it works, works well and is more effecient than handcranking the mill. Next up a peddle powered thresher!

THE REVOLUTION WILL BE PEDAL POWERED!!!!

peace, JOEY.

Joey's predictions for '09...

1) Belts will start to get tighter. Ends will stop meeting and people will start to get pissed.

2) Comunities and families will start to grow closer as people become more dependent upon each other.

3) More folks will tear up there wasteful lawns and plant gardens. Because they have woke up to the fact that most of the food in the grocery stores is poisoned or they are going hungry.

4) More people will start to relocalize. Buying much of what is needed for living locally and depending less upon mass market retailers.

5) The "haves" will have more and the "have nots" will have less.

6) More people will wake up to the fact the Main Stream Media is full of nothing but liers. Talking heads paid millions to spew there propaganda and wretched filth.

7) Obama will be nothing but a Bush of a different color. Some folks will realize it, other will still continue to be completely brainwashed by the "One", and wait with baited breath for his next speech filled with empty retoric and false promises.

8) More people will start riding bikes for recreational purposes. They will realize that they only get one life to live and that riding a bike is the best way to recapture the exuberance of what it once felt like to be a child.

Holiday Recap Part 2...

John and Rachel, the gracious hosts.

The game room.

Not sure?

My best Brian Boytono impression.

New Years Eve Mandi and I celebrated with the John Weber family. John and Rachel had an amazing spread of wonder full food. We ate, drank, played board games, and laughed a lot. Mandi actually made it to midnight for only the second time since we have been together.

New Years Day we awoke late ate a big breakfast of homemade oatmeal pancakes and waited for the temperature to warm up a bit so we could go on our eighth annual New Years Day ride. The ride is usually a long drawn out endurance type ride of 5 hours plus. But seeing as it was super cold this new years we decided to make it an all trail ride. Mandi, John and I headed over to the Shingletree trail network and put good solid 2.5 hour ride. The day was clear, very calm, magnificent and stunningly picturesque. The usual loop took a bit longer than normal because of the 3-4'' of fresh fluff on the trails. The ride may not have been have as long but it felt just as hard.

May the New Year bring you peace and calm, JOEY

Holiday Recap Part 1...

Christmas eve found Mandi and I at Mandi's parents house. We go there the day before the big day and exchange gifts. After all the gift opening is complete we head over to Mandi's grandma's house. There we eat lots of yummy food and visit with all the aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.

Mandi's dad tearing into his edible Christmas gifts.

Mandi's Mom showing off all her gifts from Mandi and I.

Anne the mighty hunting dog "talking".

Christmas day Mandi and I headed over to my parents house . There we ate a delicious lunch with my ma and pa, my sister, brother in-law and niece. After lunch it is time to tear into all the presents. The best part the last couple years has been watching my niece tear into her presents and sometime everyone else's. Her excitement and enthusiasm for Christmas is contagious and adds a new spice to the holidays.

After all the festivities at my parents house we headed over to my G-ma's house. Once there we visited with my grandma and impatiently waited for the rest of the clan to catch up so we could rip into some more presents. After decimating some more waste full wrapping paper it was time to eat again. More turkey, more mashed taters, stuffing, homegrown green beans and lots more deserts.

Overall a wonder full Christmas. As I get older Christmas becomes less and less about the gifts and more and more about family.

Peace and Love, JOEY
