When the snow melts you should do the same ride, but go out Adolph Rd to Prison Mine Rd and follow the rough dirt "road" all the way along the ridge of Rich Mtn to the battlefield. . . that would be a good one!
You were out on my lunch run territory in MC. If you would have gone out Shaffer's Run off of the Back Rd., you could take the Chestnut Ridge Trail up to the top of Cheat Mtn. Good stuff in there, but not much traffic/clearing on the trail.
