Mandi, John and I made a quick trip down to Douthat State Park yesterday to do some riding. We met up there with Steve Hillllll and proceded to tear that place apart, not really. If you have never been to Douthat go, come on go, what are you waiting on. Let me lay it out for you: you go up and then down and then up and then down. Thats the race course there. Two lonnnnngggg climbs with two lonnnnnggggg descents. Its a pretty sweet place to ride. The trails always seem to be fairly dry no matter the time of year. Mandi and I were really wishing we took our geared bikes. We did a lot of bike walking yesterday. We got to see Steves newest wonder bike. A 21 lb C-dale Scalpel. He is trying to make it lighter! John got to try out his new ride yesterday to, a Trek EX 9 burly travel bike. We ran into a dude while riding yeaterday, Trip. He was a pretty swell chap, he had just relocated to VA from NJ and was digging the big climbs. Yesterday was a good day and a dramatic wake up call.
